The International Padel Federation (FIP) governs padel and, with Qatar Sports Investments, runs Premier Padel, the professional tour; its 2026 title is the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour. In padel, "PPA" means the Professional Padel Association, the men's players' association, and has nothing to do with pickleball's PPA Tour. How Premier Padel took over from the World Padel Tour, with each side's account, is on padel bodies and tours.

The 2026 calendar, and how big it is

When Premier Padel and the FIP announced the 2026 calendar, they gave 26 tournaments in 18 countries, with Majors in Doha in April, Rome in June, Paris at Stade Roland-Garros in September and Acapulco, Mexico, in late November, and the season Finals in Barcelona from 7 to 13 December for the top 16 men and women in the FIP Race Ranking.

The number of tournaments, three versions. Press calendar pages and Wikipedia, as summarised in search results, give 25, 26 or 28 tournaments. The calendar also changed during the season, when the Qatar Major was cancelled and Kuwait was upgraded, so a count depends on when it was made.

Qatar Major 2026: cancelled

The Qatar Major was scheduled for 6 to 11 April 2026. On 7 May 2026 Premier Padel and the FIP announced, referring to the Qatar Major's postponement, that the Kuwait event would be upgraded to a Major and Pretoria from P2 to P1, both for 2026 only. The announcement, published on the FIP's site, says these changes were made "in light of operational disruptions due to the war in Iran". Wikipedia lists the Qatar Major as cancelled.

Italy Major 2026: finished

The Italy Major was played at the Foro Italico, Rome. An FIP page title gives it as 31 May to 7 June 2026; Wikipedia gives 1 to 7 June for the main draw. The results are from the FIP's report of 8 June 2026.

FinalResult
Men'sArturo Coello and Agustin Tapia d. Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan 7-5 7-6
Women'sDelfi Brea and Gemma Triay d. Ari Sanchez and Andrea Ustero 6-1 7-5

The FIP reports Tapia as saying it was the pair's 23rd final in a row. It also says the women's semi-final in which Sanchez and Ustero beat Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez lasted 4 hours 12 minutes, the longest match ever played on the Premier Padel circuit, and that Giulia Dal Pozzo became the first Italian to reach a Major semi-final.

Paris Major 2026: finished

The Paris Major's finals were played on Court Philippe-Chatrier at Roland-Garros on 13 September 2026. The results are from the FIP's report of the same day.

FinalResult
Men'sArturo Coello and Agustin Tapia d. Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan 6-3 4-6 7-6(1)
Women'sAri Sanchez and Andrea Ustero d. Claudia Fernandez and Martina Calvo 6-2 6-0, in 1 hour 11 minutes

The FIP calls it Coello and Tapia's fourth Roland-Garros title in a row and their 40th Premier Padel title as a pair. For Sanchez and Ustero it was a first Major and a third title of 2026, after Riyadh and Valencia, per the FIP. Wikipedia's season table prints the men's final score in a garbled form; the FIP's score is used here. The two do not disagree about who won.

Kuwait Major 2026: in progress

The FIP's 7 May announcement set the Kuwait Major for 26 to 31 October 2026. The main draw opens on 26 October, the research date, with qualifying from 23 October according to a search summary of a padel news site, which is unconfirmed. No result is given.

Still to come

  • FIP World Cup 2026, Doha, 2 to 7 November 2026. The FIP calls it its flagship biennial event for national teams. On 9 July 2026 it confirmed Qatar as host for 2026 and 2028, with the 2026 edition at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex and 16 men's and 16 women's teams. The same FIP page mentions an earlier World Team Championships at that venue without explaining how the two names relate, so that link is not stated here.
  • Mexico Major 2026, Acapulco. Premier Padel's calendar announcement says late November; a padel news site and Wikipedia, in search summaries, give 23 to 29 November 2026 and say it closes the regular season. The exact dates were not read on an FIP or Premier Padel page.
  • Premier Padel Finals 2026, Barcelona, 7 to 13 December 2026, for the top 16 men and women in the FIP Race Ranking, per the calendar announcement. A press summary says it will be Barcelona's third time as host; that is unconfirmed.

The FIP Race Ranking counts each player's best 22 results of the 2026 season and decides who plays the Finals, per the FIP's ranking page. It is a ranking of individual players, not pairs. No season winner or ranking leader is given while the season runs; how the rankings work is on rankings explained.

FIP Senior World Cup 2026

An FIP press release, seen in a search summary, gave the fourth Senior World Cup, for age categories from 40 and over, as 14 to 19 September 2026 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. By date it is finished, but its results were not found for this research.

Padel and the Olympics

Padel is not on the LA28 programme. On 20 October 2026 the FIP renewed its call for padel to be included at Brisbane 2032. More is on the Olympic and Paralympic programme. No prize money is given on this page.
