This page explains what governing bodies, standards bodies and researchers publish. It is not a substitute for lessons from a qualified coach or for medical advice.
A body that becomes a signatory of the World Anti-Doping Code commits, as the FIP put it in 2026, to implement the Code and its International Standards in its competitions. Several racquet-sport bodies have handed the day-to-day work, such as testing, results management and education, to an independent agency. Which substances and methods are prohibited, and how a player applies for a therapeutic use exemption, are set out in each programme's own documents and are not summarised here.

The Code itself
The 2026 Tennis Anti-Doping Programme states that it implements the 2021 World Anti-Doping Code. Search excerpts of Sport Integrity Australia pages, unconfirmed because the pages timed out, say a 2027 Code and International Standards were approved on 5 December 2025 at the sixth World Conference on Doping in Sport in Busan and come into force on 1 January 2027.
Tennis: the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme
- Who runs it. The 2026 Tennis Anti-Doping Programme (TADP) took full effect on 1 January 2026. The International Tennis Integrity Agency manages and enforces it on behalf of the ATP, the WTA, the ITF and the Grand Slams, and the ITF has delegated all doping control and education duties to the ITIA.
- The Code. The TADP states that the ITF is a WADA Code signatory and that the programme implements the mandatory provisions of the 2021 Code and the International Standards. Search excerpts of the 2026 programme document describe the ITIA as the delegated third party of "World Tennis (previously, the International Tennis Federation)".
- Who it covers. The ITF, ITIA, ATP, WTA and Grand Slam Board; national associations; players and support personnel who are members of, or registered with, the ITF or a national association; players entered in covered events; and players holding an ATP or WTA ranking in 2026.
- Hearings and appeals. Charges are heard by an Independent Tribunal, with appeals to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) (TADP articles 8.1 and 13).
- 2026 rules. The ITIA published its 2026 season rules on 29 December 2025, in force from 1 January 2026, covering both the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP) and the TADP, and described the changes from 2025 as minimal. It describes its remit as protecting the credibility of professional tennis worldwide.
- Decisions. The ITIA publishes its sanction decisions and written decisions on its website. This site does not list individual cases.
Squash: the ITA for World Squash
The International Testing Agency announced on 23 September 2020 that the World Squash Federation had delegated its entire anti-doping programme to the ITA from January 2021, under a four-year agreement. The delegation covers testing in and out of competition, whereabouts, the Athlete Biological Passport, therapeutic use exemptions, results management, a review of the federation's rules against the 2021 Code, and education.
Two points are unconfirmed. Whether the agreement was renewed after its first four years was not found. A national body's document, seen as a search excerpt, describes World Squash as a WADA Code signatory with Code-compliant rules; the newest edition of the WSF Anti-Doping Rules found was version 3.0, approved at the October 2018 annual general meeting and updated on 1 January 2019, and the current edition was not checked.
Padel: the FIP becomes a signatory
The International Padel Federation announced that it had become a WADA Code signatory after a two-year collaboration with the ITA. It committed to implement the Code and International Standards across all FIP-sanctioned competitions, naming the FIP World Cup, the Premier Padel tour, the FIP Tour and the Hexagon World Series.
The date differs slightly between copies. The announcement page the research read is dated 16 July 2026; a second copy of the same announcement is reported with 15 July 2026.
Badminton: the BWF
Every BWF page returned an error to the research, so the following rests on search excerpts and listings and is unconfirmed. The BWF's current anti-doping regulations are described as taking effect on 1 January 2021 to align with the 2021 Code, applying to the BWF, its member associations and their clubs, and to players, support personnel and officials at BWF-sanctioned tournaments, and stating that each player is responsible for what they ingest. A BWF news listing from January 2014 says it signed the 2015 Code and adopted new regulations. The BWF Integrity Unit is described as handling anti-doping and anti-match-fixing work.
Pickleball
- Global Pickleball Federation and the ITA. The ITA announced on 5 December 2025 a partnership with the Global Pickleball Federation (GPF) to build an independent anti-doping programme in stages, with an initial agreement through 2028. The first stage is GPF Anti-Doping Rules aligned with the WADA Code and athlete education; in 2026 come risk assessment for targeted testing, results management and therapeutic use exemptions. The ITA says the programme is meant to help the GPF meet the requirements for possible future Code signatory status; the GPF is not described as a signatory.
- The international picture. The GPF is one of the international pickleball bodies whose unification was not complete as of August 2026; the bodies are set out on pickleball bodies and tours.
- Pickleball England. Pickleball England states that its anti-doping rules follow the World Anti-Doping Code, that it adopts the rules published by UK Anti-Doping (UKAD), and that they bind all its members and their support personnel at any level of competition.
- United States. No drug-testing programme run by USA Pickleball, the PPA Tour or Major League Pickleball was found in the research.
What this page leaves to the programmes
Prohibited substances, testing procedures, whereabouts duties, therapeutic use exemptions and sanctions are each set out in the programme documents named above, and they change with each edition. A player subject to a programme is bound by its current text, not by any summary.
