LA28: the racquet sports at the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

• LA28 Olympic Games: 14 to 30 July 2028, Los Angeles. NBC Sports, reporting LA28's schedule on 14 July 2026, gives the opening ceremony on Friday 14 July 2028 (Day 0) and the closing ceremony on Sunday 30 July 2028 (Day 16).
• LA28 Paralympic Games: 15 to 27 August 2028, with the closing ceremony on 27 August at the LA Memorial Coliseum, per the IPC on 3 June 2025.

LA28 labels every schedule subject to change. Its own daily schedule (version 4.0) names the venues, but its day-by-day grid is colour-coded and could not be extracted as text, so the days of play below come from NBC Sports, in US Eastern time, and have not been checked against LA28's grid.

Which racquet sports are on the programme

The IOC chose squash for LA28 in October 2023, with two medal events. The FIP renewed its call on 20 October 2026 for padel to join the programme at Brisbane 2032. Pickleball's two international federations had not unified by 4 August 2026, according to a European Pickleball Federation release. The background for each sport is on the Olympic and Paralympic programme. Table tennis is also on the LA28 programme but is not covered by this site.

Olympic venues

The venue names were matched to their sports by their order in the extracted schedule text. Whether the USC Sports Center and the Galen Center are the same arena under two names is not confirmed in the research: Fox LA describes the USC Sports Center as the home of USC basketball and volleyball, but no source read says the two names refer to one building.

Tennis at LA28

NBC Sports gives the first day of tennis as Wednesday 19 July 2028 (Day 5), with the first round of mixed doubles.

Badminton at LA28

NBC Sports gives the first day as Saturday 15 July 2028 (Day 1), with group play in all five events.

Badminton at LA28 will be played under whatever scoring the BWF's Laws of Badminton then set. The BWF has adopted 3 x 15 scoring to take effect on 4 January 2027, as USA Badminton reported on 28 April 2026, but whether LA28 will use it was not confirmed in the research.

Squash at LA28: the Olympic debut

NBC Sports gives the first day as Saturday 15 July 2028 (Day 1), with the men's and women's round of 16, the women's medal matches on Sunday 23 July (Day 9) and the men's on Monday 24 July (Day 10).

The squash medal days, two versions. A Fox LA report, as summarised in a search result, agrees with NBC Sports: women on Day 9, 23 July, and men on Day 10, 24 July. A RevSportz report, also seen as a summary, gives a single medal date of 24 July. LA28's own session schedule could not be read to settle it.

A round of 16 on the first day fits a draw of 16 players for each gender, but the research found no IOC or World Squash statement of the draw size, so it is not given here.

Wheelchair tennis and para badminton at the LA28 Paralympics

Wheelchair tennis will be played at the Tennis Center in Carson, per the IPC's venue plan of 3 June 2025. Its session dates were not found.

Para badminton: a search summary of a BWF page of 28 May 2026, which could not be opened, gives the schedule as 22 to 27 August 2028, with 16 medal events, semi-finals and medal matches on 26 August, and 18 medal matches on 27 August. That schedule is unconfirmed.

The para badminton venue, two names. The IPC's June 2025 venue plan says the USC Sports Center, Los Angeles. The BWF's May 2026 schedule, as summarised, says the Galen Center in Exposition Park. They may be the same arena under two names, but that is not confirmed.
